Nose job (Rhinoplasty) will change the shape of the tip or the bridge of your nose, can reduce or increase the size of your nose, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct or help relieve some breathing problems.
Rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia most of the time (sleep through the operation). In some cases (minimal work to be done) it may be performed under local anesthesia. You'll usually be lightly sedated, and your nose and the surrounding area will be numbed; but you will be awake during the surgery.
During your consultation Dr Perez will listen to your concerns, will examine your nose and airways, and together with you, will formulate a plan of treatment tailored to fit your very specific concerns.
After surgery you will have a splint on top of your nose (to maintain its new shape). Soft plastic splints also may be placed inside your nose.
You will have some swelling after surgery; this will gradually improve over 7 to 14 days. The final results of the rhinoplasty will take a year or more.

Ear pinning surgery, or otoplasty, is done to set back prominent ears closer to the head. The ears are almost fully grown by age four. As a result, early surgery to correct the problem, especially in the school age child, can drastically improve self esteem.
Ear surgery is usually performed as an outpatient procedure in our office with local anesthesia. It also may be performed in an outpatient surgery center with general anesthesia.
Any activity in which the ear might be bent should be avoided for a month or so. Most adults can go back to work about five days after surgery. Children can go back to school after seven days or so, if they're careful about playground activity.
